Step into the fog with Archypness upcoming Bükyur Kyil EP, where broken realms and fast rhythms evoke the feel of a dense jungle trek. The latest in a string of self releases twists in a new direction as mystical patterns unfold from a techno-centric past.
Ukrainian-born, Warsaw-based Archypness has quickly become synonymous with a throbbing take on techno and its adjacent sounds in recent years. As an avid producer, founder of the EMAHO! label, and mentor at Warsaw’s Fundamental DJ School, he actively contributes to Poland’s burgeoning electronic make-up. His sound evokes a spiritual experience, harnessing the energy of psychedelic frequencies and embodying the essence of dance floor memories and moments of refuge among others.
Bükyur Kyil will be his seventh self-released EP, one that delves into an evolving sonic landscape for Archypness, initiating a more intricate, enigmatic ritual. From high-speed drum workouts in tracks like ‘Bukyur’ and ‘Enoch’ to the narrative-like arrangements in ‘Skyabs’, the EP is a class-filled take on left-field club music.
Minimal Collective premieres ‘Ten Dra’, a bass-heavy cut that traverses the edges of IDM through broken beats and dissonant sound design. With dreamy pads serving as a glue throughout, Archypness underlines the hypnotic mantra of the EP with subtle, syncopated patterns serving as the impetus for the body and mind to dance in unison.
