The dynamic duo Atrice returns to their Swiss home label MIRAS with a bold and experimental EP titled ‘Mutualism’. The duo presents the sentiment of playful dance floor experiences as they expertly navigate through eight chapters of genre-defying soundscapes, ranging from ambient to deconstructed club and IDM.
This release is a testament to the duo's year-long exploration of compositional techniques and sound design. Atrice incorporates up-tempo genres such as Jungle and Juke and interweaves them with tranquil yet stimulating ambient tracks. The result is a sonic experience that is both playful and thought-provoking, inviting deep listening.
Following an ethereal ambient composition, ‘Taxon’, the opening track of the second half of the EP, is a standout. The heavy-hitting drums and tension-building breaks, paired with futuristic sound effects, create a vibrant and electrifying experience for the listener.
