Infinite Vault

On Infinite Vault, Spanish producer Javier Marimon shapes dub techno with gravity and grace. Released on French imprint klape nunsen, the EP shifts with each space it enters: always familiar, never fixed. What remains is presence without assertion: sound that holds space.

Visual and sound enthusiast Javier Marimon operates from a small, half-forgotten village in northern Spain, where his platform Off T. hosts quietly subversive experiments in sound and image. His work favours perspective over perfection, embracing sketchiness, drift, and the beauty of “moving thingies.” That raw, exploratory energy carries into Infinite Vault, his latest release on French label klape nunsen.

klape nunsen is an independent imprint dedicated to subtle collisions between electronic and acoustic worlds. Marimon’s EP sits easily within this universe, offering four variations on how sound can colour a room without overtaking it. A record that moves slowly and deliberately, allowing form to dissolve into reverberation.

“Bass-less structures designed to interact with new surroundings, different rooms and life itself; colouring edges or fading backgrounds. Saigon 2018,” the artist and label note.

Each track presents a spatial study: Floor Plan lays the ambient groundwork with bleeps and dub chords; Flying Buttresses drifts through ethereal layers, where acid traces and lush pads deepen the atmosphere. Vand’s remix of ‘Flying Buttresses’ closes the record with a subtle shift, reframing its stillness through polyrhythmic drums and a more kinetic undertow.

Minimal Collective’s premiere track Infinite Vault unfolds as a slow emergence, opening with two minutes of tonal drift before the first beat settles into place. From there, a hypnotic loop takes hold, steady and enveloping. The rhythm carries a gentle physicality, while layers of soft distortion rise and recede like shifting light. A piece that invites movement and reflection in equal measure.
