With Liminal Vortex, the faceless force Hysteria Temple Foundation brings pressure-cooked rhythms and feral momentum to the useless seconds catalogue.
The producer duo Hysteria Temple Foundation operates in disguise, moving through dub’s echo chambers, techno’s forward thrust, and the vast scale of sci-fi sonics, all wrapped in a thick layer of heady escapism. Their productions occupy a space of tension between the ritual pull of the drum and the instinct to break free.
Liminal Vortex finds HTF in full stride, building on a solid run of self-releases. As all good things come in threes, this marks their third offering, this time on useless seconds, a French label already drifting into its own orbit with releases from Souzo and A Strange Wedding. With this four-tracker, Liminal Vortex tightens the screws, cracking open abstract dimensions and warping physics, all through vibrations from a future one beat ahead.
Our premiere, Kamea, is a slow-burning peak-time hallucination. Guided by granular low-end and a signature sci-fi edge, it teeters between murk and relentless momentum. The result is a synapse-twister built for headless swaying.
