Chronoscope Vol.2 delivers four uncompromising techno tools. A collaboration between The Gods Planet and Liquid Drop Groove, the release opens with two precision cuts from Mike Parker, joined by Yuta / O-MA and Ness taking charge on the flip.
Mike Parker is both a producer and painter, working across sound and canvas with the same measured intensity. His music is driven by form, spirals, pulses, and finely controlled movement, shaped through an almost architectural sense of repetition. Each track is built with a painter’s eye for texture and space. Over the course of more than twenty years, Parker has carved out a sound that feels tactile, rigorous, and unmistakably his own.
Chronoscope Vol.2 marks the second collaboration between Italy’s The Gods Planet and Tokyo-based imprint Liquid Drop Groove. The four-track release draws a sharp line through refined, minimalistic techno. On the A-side, Parker lays down two stark pieces tuned to tunnel depth. The flip offers Yuta / O-MA’s stripped-back, bleep-focused tune, followed by Ness’s spiralling, percussive closer.
Minimal Collective premieres A2, Satellite Cell, an electric loop charged with standing-wave voltage. Its bassline carries a physical presence, simple in form but heavy enough to rattle concrete. A proper tool, dialled for the late-night slot.
