Dutch producer and DJ Human Space Machine drops his four-track project, The Zone, on the Swiss label re:st. Stepping out of the beaten path, this EP offers an adventurous balance between experimental drum ‘n bass and half-paced sluggy rhythms.
As a core member of his co-owned Dutch record label De Lichting, Human Space Machine explores the rich territories between techno, house and experimental electronic music by using otherworldly textures and mesmerizing rhythms. His first international affair on the re:st label brings on different vibes and tempos. Tight drum patterns and razor-sharp beats give high energy, but leave enough space to zone out in deep atmospheres and subaquatic grooves.
Written and produced during the lockdown months back in 2021, our premiere pick Zone turns a slow-pumping, pounding heartbeat into a danceable yet sophisticated rhythm.
