Behind the moniker XENIA REAPER is Berlin-based producer and sound artist Miro Kolb. The name itself gestures toward an otherworldly pursuit, ‘xeno’ signalling the unknown, ‘reaper’ suggesting one who gathers or harvests. This tension between alien curiosity and sonic collection runs deep through Kolb’s work, which drifts fluidly across genres while maintaining a ghostlike emotional presence.

zumi3 marks the fourth chapter in Oscilla Sound’s Liminal series, an imprint curated by Joel Arcane and Addison, dedicated to exploring the thresholds between forms. The Berlin-based label has carved out a distinct identity through releases that favour subtlety over spectacle.

Across its seven tracks, zumi3 continues this trajectory, drawing from jungle, ambient, and downtempo traditions but rendering them with a light, impressionistic touch. Each piece carries a dreamlike quality, as if recalling something that never fully took shape, gently disorienting in its familiarity.

On premiere track halo°°°, XENIA REAPER drapes delicate breaks in featherlight atmospheres. It’s a moment of fragile motion and full of suspended detail.
